Step 3 A (optional) - more tracks are needed
Each ladder has ten points; one entry and eight ladder point. There is an option for a ninth ladder point if you need more tracks. This is where piont number ten comes into the picture.
This particular point is the fix point for expansions. You simply place an extra ladder tool and make sure that there is an overlap at point #10.
When correctly placed your setup should look like this
